One of the things I love most about being a Creative Director and owning an advertising agency is the creative souls I get to interact with every day. I have been using one of my favorite illustrators, Andy Heckathorne, for several projects lately with Fierce and I wanted to share some of my favorite things he has done. Andy and I go way back–all the way to college where he was always one of the best in the class (affectionately referred to as Heckadude).
When I owned JDA, I hired Andy to work with my creative team to create labels for Eagle Creek Brewery out of Georgia. Andy did some beautiful full bleed illustrations that truly captured the essence of each of the distinct brews. The artwork was so powerful that retailers pre-ordered the first 20 cases before they ever tasted a drop. I love Andy’s spirit as he approaches every new creative challenge.
